[origin: FR2610566A1] Process and apparatus for the manufacture of a protective bellows for a transmission device, such as a hooke's joint or similar, by means of the injection blowing of a thermoplastic material into a moulding device. Firstly, the rough-moulded bellows and the tips of the bellows are injected during a primary stage into a first mould, then, in a second core mould (20) and chilled mould (60) which forms the ribs of the bellows and which provides at least one narrowed zone between the core mould and chilled mould at the junction of at least two adjacent ribs, the rough-moulding is blown rib by rib or by groups of ribs during a second stage, until the required form of the bellows is achieved. Application to the manufacture of universal joints for the motor-car industry and similar.

Procédé et appareillage de fabrication d'un soufflet de protection pour dispositif de transmission, comme un joint homocinétique ou analogue, par injection-soufflage d'une matière thermoplastique dans un dispositif de moule. On injecte d'abord dans un premier moule et au cours d'une première phase une ébauche de soufflet et les bouts de celui-ci, et l'on procède, dans un second moule à noyau (20) et coquilles (60) définissant les spires du soufflet et qui ménage au moins une zone de pincement entre le noyau et les coquilles à la jonction d'au moins deux spires adjacentes, à un soufflage de l'ébauche spire par spire ou par groupe de spires, au cours d'une seconde phase, et jusqu'à obtention de la forme désirée du soufflet. Application: fabrication de joints homocinétiques pour l'industrie automobile et analogue.
