Abstract (en)
[origin: WO8806508A2] In a process for switching off a drill hammer and/or a chisel hammer during idling, a clutch (28) arranged at least in the percussion drive line is automatically released when the idling position is reached. The point at which the tool (24) reaches a position on the idling section is detected and the clutch (28) is automatically released when this position is reached and re-engaged when the tool leaves this position. To this end, an idling sensor (30) releases and re-engages the clutch (28) electromechanically through a control device. Hence, no additional manipulations or clutching-in efforts are required of the operator holding the drill hammer in order to start or stop the tool, which results in short idling periods.
