[origin: JPS6461101A] PURPOSE: To achieve the coaxiality of two waveguides with sufficient precision by radially surrounding the ends of two waveguides with an elastic centering ring. CONSTITUTION: A centering ring has an inner diameter a little smaller than the outer diameter of waveguides to be bonded, and radial spring operation is achieved by providing a slit running parallelly with the axial line of the centering ring. Such a core matching ring 3 surrounds the respective ends of two waveguides 1a and 1b. When the waveguides 1a and 1b have difference in their outer radius at their ends, through the radial elastic operation of this centering ring 3, the waveguides are automatically set at coaxial positions by the core matching ring 3.
