Emerging from the spraying nozzles (6) are spray jets (16) of a lubricant consisting essentially of water, said spray jets rising slightly and being directed towards the bottom of the slope. This lubricant is distributed over the surface (4) of the ski slope in the form of a spray, which is limited to knee height at most, and improves the sliding characteristics between the artificial ski slope and the skis so that the sliding conditions as on snow are largely achieved. <IMAGE>
