[origin: EP0304352A1] The invention relates to a cellular plastic foam panel (1), elasticised or not, enabling the modulus of elasticity E to be reduced to values of the order of 0.05 to 0.2 MPa. It comprises alternate chevron-shaped cuts (2,3), and grooves (5) on one of the faces and may be associated with two fibreboards or a plasterboard. These alternate chevron-shaped cuts impart to the panel a transverse elasticity of several centimetres per metre. Among the most useful applications may be mentioned the thermal insulation combined with the improvement in the acoustic damping index of walls such as dividing floors between underground car parks and apartments or dividing walls of an apartment. <IMAGE>
