Abstract (en)
A tubular furnace (10) having a burner (11) mounted at one end is provided with means for receiving gaseous fluid taking part in the combustion, while the opposite end of the furnace is connected to an after-combustion chamber by way of a restricted passage. The inlet (22) for the gaseous combustion fluid is slot-formed, and connected tangentially to the tubular furnace (10), and an axially displaceable disc (23), having a centrally located opening (23a) surrounding the burner (11) is arranged for dividing the gaseous fluid into a primary part directed to the burner, and a secondary part forming a rotating flow within the tubular furnace.
