Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0304585A1] The sporting device (1) in the form of a rolling and sliding device consists of a baseplate (2) and support members, for example in the form of rollers (5, 6, 7, 8), mounted on said baseplate by means of full floating axles (3, 4) arranged opposite each other. The baseplate (2) is provided with a gripping piece (21) as a tilting or steering aid which is rigidly connected to the baseplate (2), and by means of which the baseplate (2) can be inclined laterally. By this design, a sporting device (1) is provided which offers the advantages of a skateboard, but can be ridden without difficulties and used in a very varied manner. Above all, there is a high degree of safety when riding it and accidents and injuries caused in them to the rider are largely avoided. The technique of riding a sporting device of this type, which is composed of few components, is also easy to learn in order to handle it safely at all times, specifically also when used in different ways. <IMAGE>
