[origin: EP0304592A1] A method for joining a stile 2 to a sill 3 is described. For this purpose, the stile 2 and the sill 3 are cut to length at right angles and interconnected by means of a special sill connector 1. The sill connector 1 has on its upper side 4 a plane sealing face 5 corresponding to the outer contour of the stile 2, and on its underside a form corresponding to the sill 3. The sill connector 1 is preferably connected to the stile 2 by screwing and/or adhesive bonding, whereas the sill connector 1 is initially positively connected to the sill 3 by being clipped on or slid on. After the stiles have been aligned, the sill connector can be connected non- positively to the sill by means of a screw connection. <IMAGE>
