[origin: EP0304830A2] The frame, in particular for windows or doors, comprises interconnected supporting profile sections (3) of wood or plastic having covering profile rails (4) held thereon which, as seen over their width, have L- or T-shaped webs in cross-section and, to permit relative movements with respect to the supporting profile sections, form a guideway (9) for the engagement of a connecting element (11) held in the associated supporting profile section. An intermediate layer (10) having a guiding surface is additionally provided between the bearing face of the guideway and the respective supporting profile section. In each supporting profile section is arranged an undercut groove which is aligned with the guideway of the covering rail, and the connecting element is formed by injecting a completely curable plastic into the guideway and the groove. <IMAGE>
