[origin: JPH01139263A] PURPOSE: To obtain an additional color at every printing cycle in place of numbering by replacing a numbering device provided to a printing press with the blanket cylinder of a printing unit operated along with an inking module. CONSTITUTION: An inking module 16 is supported by two supports 27 and, since the freely detachable caps 28 thereof hold a shaft 29 at a proper place, the inking module 16 follows the slight movement of the shaft 9 of an additional blanket cylinder 7C so as not only to apply pressure at a time of the printing operation of a printing press but also to release pressure at a stop time of a printing press. Since the caps 28 of the supports 27 can move rapidly, the additional blanket cylinder 7C attached to the shaft 9 provided in order to support a number can be rapidly converted and the plate cylinder 17 of the inking module 16 is used in order to apply second color ink.
