The rotary lock cylinder has a cylinder core (1) which consists of a cylindrical body (11) with an open key guide and of at least one coaxial case (4) surrounding this. The case (4) closes the laterally open key guide, so that a virtually closed key channel (3) is formed. The case (4) is preferably movable and centres itself automatically. The movable case (4) also prevents opening attempts and thus increases the security value of the rotary lock cylinder. By changing the thickness of the wall of the case (4), it is possible to vary the radial distance between the key channel (3) and the outer surface of the cylinder core (1), with the result that the number of locking possibilities differing from one another can be increased in a constructionally simple way. <IMAGE>

Der Drehschliesszylinder weist einen Zylinderkern (1) auf, der aus einem zylindrischen Körper (11) mit offener Schlüsselführung und wenigstens einer diesen umfassenden, koaxialen Hülse (4) besteht. Die Hülse (4) schliesst die seitlich offene Schlüsselführung, so dass ein quasi geschlossener Schlüsselkanal (3) realisiert wird. Die Hülse (4) ist vorzugsweise beweglich und zentriert sich selbst. Die bewegliche Hülse (4) verhindert zudem Oeffnungsmethoden und erhöht damit den Sicherheitswert des Drehschliesszylinders. Indem die Stärke der Wandung der Hülse (4) geändert wird, lässt sich der radiale Abstand des Schlüsselkanals (3) von der Mantelfläche des Zylinderkerns (1) verändern, womit in konstruktiv einfacher Weise die Anzahl voneinander abweichender Schliessungsmöglichkeiten erhöht werden kann.
