[origin: WO8807285A1] A brushless D.C. motor is provided with a stator (1) and a rotor (2) incorporating an annular magnet (9) provided with arcuate steel flux return strips (10). A hall effect device (5) acts to sense the angular position of the rotor magnet (9) and controls switching of the current to the stator windings (11). The electronic components of the circuit are mounted on a printed circuit board which is integrally moulded with a support body (3) which provides a bearing housing (6) for the rotor shaft (7). This enables the rotor (2) to be mounted with very great accuracy with respect to the electrical circuitry and in particular the sensor (5). The magnet (9) incorporates castellations (20) which create a desired offset of the magnetic field.

Un moteur CC sans balais avec un stator (1) et un rotor incorporant un aimant (9) annulaire équipé de bandes en acier (10) de forme arquée pour le retour du flux. Un dispositif d'effet de Hall (5) agit pour détecter la position angulaire de l'aimant du rotor (9) et commande la commutation du courant aux enroulements (11) du stator. Les composants électroniques du circuit sont montés sur une plaque de circuit imprimé qui est intégralement moulée avec un élément (3) de support, lequel fait office de logement (6) d'appui pour l'arbre (7) du rotor. Ainsi le rotor (2) peut être monté avec une très grande précision par rapport aux circuits électriques, en particulier par rapport au détecteur (5). L'aimant (9) incorpore des crénelures (20) qui créent l'équilibrage désiré du champ magnétique.
