Abstract (en)
The method allows the detection and/or neutralisation of land mines laid on the surface or camouflaged by the use of a laser beam, in which land mines present on a mined surface are detected by means of the laser beam without being destroyed by detonation, the mine explosive being brought to spontaneous combustion, without detonation, in response to an appropriately long action or predetermined dwell time of the laser beam on the individual mines. The absorption and/or emission and/or reflectance spectra formed by the jet flame and/or gas flame generated as a result of the thermal reaction of the mine explosive are picked up and detected, and the spectra obtained are evaluated, to ascertain the type of explosive used in the particular mine detected, by comparative measurements of stored spectra of known mine explosives for the purpose of leaving the detected mine in the monitored minefield or for the purpose of a detonative destruction of the mine, following the spectral analysis of the emission of the mine explosive stimulated by laser beam, by means of the laser beam of the laser apparatus used. <IMAGE>

Das Verfahren ermöglicht das Erkennen und/oder Neutralisieren von oberflächenmäßig verlegten oder getarnten Landminen unter Verwendung eines Laserstrahles, bei dem vermittels des Laserstrahles vorhandene Landminen einer verminten Fläche ohne detonative Zerstörung detektiert werden, wobei der Minensprengstoff bei entsprechend langer Einwirkung bzw. vorgegebener Verweilzeit des Laserstrahles auf die einzelnen Minen zur Verbrennung in sich ohne Detonation gebracht wird und die von der durch die thermische Reaktion des Minensprengstoffes erzeugte Stich- und/oder Gasflamme gebildeten Absorptionsund/oder Emissions- und/oder Remissionsspektren aufgenommen sowie erfaßt werden und die erhaltenen Spektren zur Erkennung des Typs des jeweils in der detektierten Mine verwendeten Sprengstoffes durch vergleichende Messungen eingespeicherter Spektren bekannter Minenspreng stoffe für einen Verbleib der erfaßten Mine in dem überprüften Minenfeld oder für eine sich an die spektralanalytische Erfassung der durch Laserstrahlen stimulierten Emission des Minensprengstoffes anschließende detonative Zerstörung der Mine mit dem Laserstrahl des eingesetzten Laser-Aggregates ausgewertet werden.
