A device for cutting slices of fruit, vegetables or the like, having a knife-holding plate (3) at the front edge of which a straight or inclined or V-shaped cutting knife (4) is arranged, the knife-holding plate (3) being arranged on two parallel sides in two parallel frame strips (1, 2), arranged substantially perpendicularly to it, at their rear ends, having a supporting plate (7) which can be inserted into guide grooves (5) in the frame strips (1, 2), parallel to the knife-holding plate (3) and at a variable vertical distance from the cutting knife (4). In order to be able to cut slices of virtually any thickness, the supporting plate (7) consists of two parts, the distance between which is adjustable, one part (10) serving to guide the product to be cut and one insertion part (6) serving for insertion into the guide grooves (5). The distance between the parts (10, 6) is adjusted by means of a screw-thread mating assembly (11) or via wedge surfaces. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gerät zum Schneiden von Obst, Gemüse oder dergleichen in Scheiben, mit einer Messerhalteplatte (3), an deren Vorderkante ein gerade oder schräg angeordnetes oder V-förmiges Schneidmesser (4) angeordnet ist, wobei die Messerhalteplatte (3) an zwei parallelen Seiten in zwei im wesentlichen senkrecht zu ihr angeordneten parallelen Rahmenleisten (1, 2) an deren hinteren Enden angeordnet ist, mit einer in Führungsnuten (5) in den Rahmenleisten (1, 2) parallel zur Messerhalteplatte (3) mit unterschiedlichem Höhenabstand zum Schneidmesser (4) einschiebbaren Auflageplatte (7). Um Scheiben praktisch beliebiger Stärke schneiden zu können, besteht die Auflageplatte (7) aus zwei im Abstand verstellbaren Teilen, einem der Führung des Schneidguts dienenden Teil (10) und einem zum Einschieben in die Führungsnuten (5) dienenden Einschiebeteil (6). Die Abstandsverstellung der Teile (10, 6) erfolgt mittels einer Schraubgewindepaarung (11) oder über Keilflächen.
