Abstract (en)
[origin: US4855032A] An electrode structure for membrane electrolysis cells comprises a planar electrode part which is joined by metal spacers to a sheet metal support serving as current distributor. The spacers are made in the form of a spring clip mounting comprising a spring part and a springless part, the spring part being fixedly joined to the support while the springless part is integral with the electrode part. In case of the need to reactivate or repair the active electrode parts the spring clip mounting permits them to be separated easily from their supports and then they can be sent away directly for reactivation or repair.
