In the audible-tone and voice announcement generator according to the invention, several counting devices operating independently of one another are provided which continuously generate addresses in accordance with their respective switching position. These addresses are offered to the addressing inputs of a programmable read-only memory via a multiplexer. In this arrangement, a storage cell is first selected within each time slot during a first phase, which cell provides information on what type of audible tone or voice announcement is to be sent out in this time slot. During a second phase within the same time slot, a storage cell is selected with the aid of the information read out in the first phase and in accordance with the position of a sampling counting device, from which cell the PCM word to be output at this time is read out. <IMAGE>

Bei dem erfindungesgemäßen Hörton- und Sprachansagegenerator sind mehrere unabhängig voneinander arbeitende Zähleinrichtungen (ZL-ZE, RT-ZE, T-AZE, S-AZE) vorgesehen, die ihrer jeweiligen Schaltstellung entsprechend laufend Adressen erzeugen. Diese Adressen werden über einen Multiplexer (MUX) den Adressiereingängen eines programmierbaren Festwertspeichers (PROM) angeboten. Dabei wird innerhalb einer jeden Zeitlage während einer ersten Phase zunächst eine Speicherzeile angesteuert, die Auskunft darüber gibt, welche Art von Hörton- oder Sprachansage zu dieser Zeitlage ausgesendet werden soll. Während einer zweiten Phase innerhalb der gleichen Zeitlage wird mit Hilfe der in der ersten Phase ausgelesenen Information und entsprechend der Stellung einer Abtastzähleinrichtung eine Speicherzeile angesteuert, woraus das zu diesem Zeitpunkt abzugebende PCM-Wort ausgelesen wird.
