Abstract (en)
Binder for consolidating textile fibre products, based on aqueous self-crosslinking vinyl ester dispersions having a reduced formaldehyde content or containing no formaldehyde. The content of free formaldehyde in the dispersion is achieved by partial or complete substitution of the crosslinking comonomers containing N-methylol groups with vinylalkoxysilanes as crosslinking agents. Nonwovens treated with these formaldehyde-free binder systems are distinguished by high strengths and outstanding solvent resistance.

Bindemittel zur Verfestigung textiler Fasergebilde auf der Basis von wäßrigen selbstvernetzenden Vinylesterdispersionen mit reduziertem beziehungsweise ohne Formaldehydgehalt. Der Gehalt an freiem Formaldehyd in der Dispersion wird dabei durch partielle oder vollständige Substitution der vernetzend wirkenden N-Methylolgruppen-haltigen Comonomeren durch Vinylalkoxysilane als Vernetzer erreicht. Mit diesen formaldehydfreien Bindesystemen behandelte non-wovens zeichnen sich durch hohe Festigkeitswerte und hervorragende Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit aus.
