Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0306737A2] The hydraulic withdrawing device serving to withdraw and insert bearings and sleeves of axle bearings on motor vehicles consists of a working cylinder (4) with a working piston (6) and a piston rod (7) penetrating the end wall (2) of the working cylinder (4). The working cylinder (1) communicates with at least one pressure cylinder (12, 15) of smaller diameter, the pressure piston (30) of which can be actuated by a threaded spindle (31). In order to obtain, on the one hand, an axial overall length which is as short as possible and, on the other hand, a maximum working stroke of the working piston (6), which is at least approximately the same as the pressure stroke of the pressure piston (30), next to the working cylinder (4) in a parallel position thereto there are arranged, in the wall of the latter, at least two pressure cylinders (12, 15) which may have different diameters and are connected in each case by pressure-medium channels (18, 21) of a common end wall (2) to the working cylinder (4). <IMAGE>
