[origin: EP0306765A1] The hand-held electrical hairdryer (10) has a housing (11, 12), having at one end an inlet (13) and at the other end an outlet (14), for accommodating an electric motor (18) driving an impeller (22), a heater (16) for heating the air and a printed circuit board (43) for the motor with a triac (41) or another electronic component. The triac (41) or another electronic component is arranged in the region of the run-out device (20) in order to achieve optimum cooling. The heater (16) is received by a support (17) and connected by plugging-on to the counter-contacts (47) of the printed circuit board (43) for the motor via contacts (50, 51). In another embodiment, the printed circuit board (43) for the motor of the hand-held hairdryer (10) is constructed as a body surrounding the motor (18). The printed circuit board (43) for the motor is preferably an annular body.
