[origin: EP0307255A1] The anchor line consists of a plurality of successive elements (32) interconnected in articulated fashion and each consisting of a tube closed watertightly at each of its ends, defining an internal volume filled with air. The line (23) has one end at a small depth (22) ensuring the connection to the floating device (20), and one anchoring end (40) at great depth ensuring the anchoring to a seabed (42). The buoyancy of the anchor line (23) is variable according to its length. The tubular constituent elements have a wall thickness, relative to their diameter, which increases the nearer they are to the anchoring end (40) of the line. The anchor line (23) can be assembled on site and put in place using an appropriate apparatus.
