The invention relates to a rotary sliding gate for a casting vessel provided with a bottom pouring opening, with a bottom plate secured on the bottom of the vessel and with a sliding plate arranged to rotate and swivel relative to the said bottom plate, both plates being provided with refractory elements, and with a sealing ring arranged between the bottom plate and sliding plate, coaxially to the pouring opening. In order to provide a rotary sliding gate of this kind and to increase its operational reliability, to lengthen its service life and to prevent the escape of liquid molten metal from the sliding gate, it is proposed that the inner surface of the sealing ring (30), the bottom plate (21) and the sliding plate (22) should delimit an annular chamber (40), that the sealing ring (30) should have a sealing face (31) on the side facing the sliding plate (22) and that a flexible sealing element (35) should be provided on the side facing the bottom plate (21), between the sealing ring (30) and the bottom plate (21). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Drehschieberverschluß für ein mit einer Bodenausgußöffnung versehenes Gießgefäß, mit einer an dem Gefäßboden befestigten Bodenplatte und einer zu dieser verdrehbar und schwenkbar an ordneten Schieberplatte, wobei beide Platten mit Feuerfestelementen versehen sind, und mit einem zwische der Boden- und Schieberplatte koaxial zur Ausgußöffnung angeordnetem Dichtring. Um einen derartigen Drehschieberverschluß zu schaffen bzw. dessen Betriebssicherheit zu erhöhen, seine Standzeit zu verlängern und das Austreten flüssiger Schmelze aus dem Schieber zu verhindern, wird vorgeschlagen, daß von der Mantelinnenfläche des Dichtringes (30), der Bodenplatte (21) und der Schieberplatte (22) eine ringförmige Kammer (40) begrenzt wird, daß der Dichtring (30) auf der der Schieberplatte (22) zugewandten Seite eine Dichtfläche (31) aufweist und daß auf der der Bodenplatte (22) zugewandten Seite zwischen dem Dichtring (30) und der Bodenplatte (21) ein elastisches Dichtelement (35) vorgesehen ist.
