The workbench for offices is used for supporting data processing equipment. A frame, which consists of two vertical tubes 3 which are provided with feet 4 and are connected to each other by a crossbeam 5, bears a height-adjustable top 1. The two tubes 3 have longitudinal slots 6 and a bearing element 7, which is vertically displaceable with the aid of a threaded spindle 8, is arranged in each tube 3. Provided on the bearing elements 7 are horizontal bearing arms 2 which penetrate the longitudinal slots 6, and the top 1 rests on these bearing arms 2. The threaded spindles 8 bear bevel wheels 25 at the top. Mounted in the crossbeam 5 is a rotary connection shaft 26, on whose two ends counter-bevel wheels 27 are seated which engage in the bevel wheels 25 of the threaded spindles 8. By means of a gear 28, the rotary connection shaft 26 can be rotated with the aid of a hand- operated crank 29, by which means the two threaded spindles 8 are set in rotary motion and the two bearing elements 7 are displaced upwards or downwards in the tubes 3 depending on the direction of rotation. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Arbeitstisch für Büros zum Aufstellen von Datenverarbeitungsgeräten. Ein Gestell, welches aus zwei vertikalen, mit Füßen 4 versehenen Rohren 3, die durch eine Traverse 5 miteinander verbunden sind, besteht, trägt eine höhenverstellbare Tischplatte 1. Die beiden Rohre 3 weisen Längsschlitze 6 auf, und in jedem Rohr 3 ist ein mit Hilfe einer Gewindespindel 8 vertikal verschiebbares Tragelement 7 angeordnet. An den Tragelementen 7 sind horizontale Tragarme 2 vorgesehen, welche die Längsschlitze 6 durchsetzen und auf diesen Tragarmen 2 liegt die Tischplatte 1. Die Gewindespindeln 8 tragen kopfseitig Kegelräder 25. In der Traverse 5 ist eine Verbindungs-Drehwelle 26 gelagert, an deren beiden Enden Gegenkegelräder 27 sitzen, die in die Kegelräder 25 der Gewindespindeln 8 eingreifen. Durch ein Getriebe 28 läßt sich die Verbindungs-Drehwelle 26 mit Hilfe einer Handkurbel 29 drehen, wodurch die beiden Gewindespindeln 8 in Drehung versetzt und die beiden Tragelemente 7 je nach Drehrichtung in den Rohren 3 aufwärts bzw. abwärts verschoben werden.
