[origin: JPH0197301A] PURPOSE: To prevent a dazzling action at the edge and the stepped part of a reflector segment, by constituting the reflector with a plurality of segments each having a different geometric shape so that the transition parts of geometric shape of the segments have a common tangent. CONSTITUTION: A focal chain of two upper segments 6, 9 is near a reflector top part, within a range behind a coil, and a focal chain of two lower segments 12, 15 is on an incandescent coil 18 end part farther from a top part thereof. The downward displacement of a coil image generated when a focal distance moves continuously from the rear end to the front end, and vice versa, is achieved by appropriate reflector geometry. Therefore, arranging all the coil images below a light and shade boundary line can be also achieved. The different geometry of the segments continuously forms a total reflecting mirror without any steps between the segments. The transition parts of geometric shapes of the segments are constituted to have a common tangent, so that manufacture is facilitated, and a dazzling action is not generated at the edges or stepped parts of the segments.

Die Reflektionsfläche des Reflektors (1) setzt sich zusammen aus vier Segmenten (6, 9, 12, 15) oder (6', 9', 50, 51) entsprechend der Abblendlichtverteilung nach ECE und SAE. Bei der ECE-Abblendlichtverteilung ist Segment (6) Teil eines Rotations-Paraboloids, das Reflektorsegment (9) ein Parellipsoid, das Reflektorsegment (12) ein Parellispoid und das Reflektorsegment (15) ein allgemeines Paraboloid. Die einzelnen Segmente gehen stufenlos und kontinuierlich ineinander über. Bei der SAE-Abblendlichtverteilung ist das Reflektorsegment (6') ein Rotations-Paraboloid, das Reflektorsegment (50) ein allgemeines Paraboloid, das Reflektorsegment (51) ein Rotations-Paraboloid und das Reflektorsegment (15) ein allgemeines Paraboloid, wobei die Reflektorsegmente auch bei der SAE-Abblendlichtverteilung kontinuierlich stufenlos ineinander übergehen. Das von den entsprechenden Reflektionsflächen (20) des Reflektors (1) erzeugte Rohlichtbündel entspricht im wesentlichen dem zulässigen und die Fahrbahn entsprechenden Abblendlichtbündel, so daß auf die Streuscheibe weitgehend verzichtet werden kann oder die Streuscheibe stark geneigt werden kann oder nur wenige optische Mittel aufweisen muß.
