The web roll support consists of two supporting arms (2), which are fixed to a machine frame (1) and are provided with open-top bearing shells (3) having bearing faces in the form of hollow cylinders which have been cut approximately down the middle. For the purpose of providing a web roll brake which retards the web roll shaft (5) with weight-proportional braking force, the bearing surfaces consist of a layer of Vulkollan (4) or another material having similarly good wear resistance and similarly high coefficients of friction. <IMAGE>

Eine Wickelrollenlagerung besteht aus zwei an einem Maschinengestell (1) befestigten Tragarmen (2) mit nach oben hin offenen Lagerschalen (3), die Lagerflächen in Form von etwa mittig geteilten Hohlzylindern aufweisen. Um eine Wickelrollenbremse zu schaffen, die die Wickelrollenwelle (5) mit gewichtsproportionaler Bremskraft abbremst, bestehen die Lagerflächen aus einer Schicht aus Vulkollan (4) oder einem anderen Material mit ähnlich guter Abriebfestigkeit und ähnlich hohen Reibwerten -.
