Abstract (en)
The piezoceramic transducer (5) is bonded to one end of a cylinder (1) of metal with low intrinsic attenuation of ultrasonic waves, matched to the acoustic impedance of the transducer (5) itself. The two skew slots (2a, 2b) are inclined oppositely at up to 40 deg. to the longitudinal axis (4) of the cylinder (1), on which the baselines (6a,6b) of the semicircular slots intersect at their midpoints. ultrasonic waves from the inward face of the transducer (5) are reflected from the slot faces towards the periphery of the cylinder and dissipated in repeated reflections between surfaces.

Zylinderförmiger Dämpfkörper für Ultraschall-Impulssonden in welchem wenigstens zwei gegeneinander windschief liegende mit der Längsachse 4 des Zylinders 1 einen Winkel bix 45° einschließende Schlitze 2a, 2b ausgeführt sind, welche vom Umfangsmantel des Zylinders ausgeführt sind.
