[origin: US4877171A] The invention provides an indirect firing fastener driving apparatus with adjustable firing power, including within a barrel holder, a barrel, a piston mounted in frictional contact within the barrel, and a pawl for retaining the piston. A ring, held against rotation in the barrel holder, is screwed onto the barrel. The ring cooperates with a free projecting into the barrel so that relative threading of the ring relative the barrel moves, through means of contact of the stop with the pawl, the position of the piston within the barrel when the barrel is pulled forwardly.

L'appareil comprend un porte-canon (1), un canon (3), un piston (8) monté à frottement dans le canon (3), un cliquet (13) de retenue du piston (8). Une bague (7), immobilisée en rotation dans le porte-canon, est visée sur le canon (3). La bague (7) coopère avec une butée libre (15) en saillie dans le canon (3) pour que son vissage relatif sur le canon (3) déplace, par l'intermédiaire du cliquet (3), la position du piston (8) dans le canon (3) quand on a tiré le canon (3) vers l'avant. L'appareil de l'invention, pour le scellement de tampons, possède ainsi un système de réglage de puissance robuste, facile à démonter et d'une grande régularité.
