Abstract (en)
A drive device (1), particularly for a roller shutter, comprises a casing (2) acting as a housing for an endless screw (5) driven in rotation by control means, such as a crank, rod or the like, and interacting with a toothed wheel (12), mounted either at the end of a drive shaft corresponding to the said roller shutter, or on a shaft section (13) capable of being connected to this drive shaft. In order to avoid uncontrolled unrolling of the apron part of the said roller shutter or to facilitate its locking in a partially deployed position, this operating device (1) is equipped with braking means (19) interacting with the shaft or the shaft section (13) on which the toothed wheel (12) is mounted. <IMAGE>

Un dispositif d'entraînement (1), notamment pour volet roulant, comporte un carter (2) servant de logement à une vis sans fin (5) entraînée en rotation par des moyens de commande, tels que manivelle, tringle ou autre, et coopérant avec une roue dentée (12), montée soit à l'extrémité d'un arbre d'entraînement correspondant audit volet roulant, soit sur un tronçon d'arbre (13) apte à être connecté à cet arbre d'entraînement. De manière à éviter un déroulage incontrôlé du tablier dudit volet roulant ou faciliter son blocage en position partiellement déployée, ce dispositif d'entraînement (1) est muni de moyens de freinage (19) coopérant avec l'arbre ou le tronçon d'arbre (13) sur lequel est montée la roue dentée (12).
