[origin: WO8802505A1] In a transfer system (19) located in a printer, a suction spout communicating via a pipe with the development unit is arranged in a vertically movable manner inside a protective conduit (28) impervious to the toner. The transfer system comprises at its lower end an adapter serving for connection of the toner container (10). During replacement, the new container (10) is made to pivot via a support system (32) onto the adapter and connected with the latter. A cutting system (31) associated with the adapter then pierces a sealing film of said toner container (10). For emptying, the suction spout is immersed vertically in the toner container (10), the bottom of which has a funnel-shaped configuration serving as a toner storage area.
