[origin: EP0308720A2] A driven running gear is provided for urban tram carriages having an extremely low floor which is preferably accessible with one step, it being possible to use said running gear without substantial changes for different track gauges. For this purpose, a swivellable wheel unit (1) and a driving motor (3) and a gearing (2) which connects the wheel unit (1) to the driving motor (3) are arranged on longitudinal carriers (10) of the undercarriage frame, the cross carrier (4) having a length which gives rise to the track gauge of the running gear. <IMAGE>
