Abstract (en)
A method of manufacturing a material (14) consisting of a plurality of adjacent wooden slats (2'a, 2'b, ...), mutually separated over their entire height and over their entire length by a joint of coloured adhesive (3) securing the slats together. This method comprises the following operations: - superposition of a plurality of wooden panels (2a, 2b, ...) after having spread a layer of coloured adhesive over at least one face of each panel, - pressing of the stack thus obtained, - cutting-out of this stack, in slices (A-B) whose width corresponds to the height of the slats, and is characterised in that each of the panels of the stack is provided with means (5) making it possible to obtain a thickness of the joint (3) between adjacent slats of the material (14) which has a predetermined value and which is uniform over the entire length of the slats. Applications to the wood construction industry in general and, in particular, with a view to the manufacture of facing articles and to the decoration of flat or curved surfaces. <IMAGE>
Abstract (fr)
La présente invention est relative à un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau (14) constitué d'une pluralité de lamelles en bois adjacentes (2'a, 2'b,...) séparées entre elles sur toute leur hauteur et sur toute leur longueur par un joint de colle colorée (3) solidarisant les lamelles entre elles. Ce procédé comprend les opérations suivantes : - superposition d'une pluralité de plaques en bois (2a, 2b,...) après avoir étalé une couche de colle colorée sur au moins une face de chaque plaque, - pressage de l'empilage ainsi obtenu, - découpage de cet empilage, en tranches (A-B) dont la largeur correspond à la hauteur des lamelles, et est caractérisé en ce qu'on pourvoit chacune des plaques de l'empilage,de moyens (5) permettant d'obtenir une épaisseur du joint (3) entre lamelles adjacentes du matériau (14) qui présente une valeur prédéterminée et qui est uniforme sur toute la longueur des lamelles. Applications à l'industrie de la construction en bois en général et en particulier en vue de la fabrication d'objets de parement et de la décoration de surfaces planes ou galbées.
