[origin: US4913493A] Semi-rigid structure which ability to the unidirectional deformation can be controlled, and particularly utilizable in the making of "ergonomic" seats, characterized in that it consists in a succession of parallel blocks 5 of rigid material joined together by narrow webs (7) of thinner and/or more flexible material, the deformation of the structure resulting from the pressing of all the webs, such a pressing being limited by ribs 8 placed inside the foresaid webs.

Structure semi-rigide à aptitude contrôlable à la déformation unidirectionnelle, utilisable notamment dans la réalisation de sièges ergonomiques, caractérisée en ce qu'elle consiste en une succession de blocs parallèles (5) en matériau rigide, réunis entre eux par des gouttières étroites (7) en matériau plus mince et/ou plus souple, la déformation de la structure résultant de l'aplatissement de l'ensemble de ces gouttières, un tel aplatissement étant limité par des nervures (8) disposées à l'intérieur desdites gouttières.
