[origin: WO8808057A1] The safety barrier (1) comprises a plurality of spaced elongate concrete blocks (7) resting freely on the central reservation (2) and arranged parallel to each other, their elongate sides (10, 11) facing the oncoming traffic and forming an acute angle with the direction of travel (5). When viewed in a direction substantially perpendicular to said elongate sides, the blocks (7) appear to form a continuous barrier. Each block (7) has the configuration of a truncated pyramid with a rectangular base (9).

Une barrière de sécurité (1) comprend une pluralité de blocs de béton allongés écartés (7) qui reposent librement sur l'espace réservé central (2), parallèlment les uns aux autres, leurs côtés allongés (10, 11) faisant face à la circulation arrivante et formant un angle aigu avec le sens de déplacement (5). Observés dans une direction perpendiculaire auxdits côtés, les blocs (7) semblent former une barrière continue. Chaque bloc (7) a la forme d'une pyramide tronquée avec une base rectangulaire (9).
