Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH01102553A] PURPOSE: To stabilize the silver salt photographic image by using a postprocessing bath containing a specified amount of an aminotetrazole or a mercaptotetrahydrotriazine as a stabilizer. CONSTITUTION: The finished silver salt image is treated with the postprocessing bath containing the aminotetrazole represented by formula I or the mercaptotetrahydrotriazine represented by formula II in an amount of 1.5-4 weight %. In formula I, each of R1 and R3 and R4 is an H atom or a methyl group, and R2 is an H atom or a hydroxymethyl group or the like, thus permitting the obtained silver salt photographic image to prevent whole or partial change of image tone from black to brown or yellow with the lapse of time and to be stabilized.
