Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0310171A2] A process for producing thermoplastic polymer fibres by melt-spinning, characterized in that an alternating copolymer of an olefinically unsaturated compound and carbon monoxide, having a molecular weight of at least 2000, is melt-spun at a temperature of at least (T+20) K and the fibre is subsequently stretched at a temperature of at most (T-10) K, in which T is the crystalline melting point of the polymer. The fibres thus spun are suitable as tyre reinforcements.
