The device comprises inside a casing (11), a stationary contact (12) and a moving contact (13) which is carried by a displaceable arm (14), with elastic return on closing; a release (19) able to act on the contact-carrying arm (14) in the opening direction via a lock (25) in response to a short-circuit; an arc-cutting screen (27) driven by the release (19) in response to a short-circuit; a manual control member (32) connected to the contact-carrying arm (14). The screen (27) is operated following a manually controlled opening by means of a drive member (39) governed by the manual control member (32). <IMAGE>

L'appareil selon l'invention comporte dans un boîtier (11) : un contact fixe (12) et un contact mobile (13) porté par un bras déplaçable (14), avec rappel élastique à la fermeture ; un déclencheur (19) apte à agir sur le bras porte-contact (14) dans le sens d'ouverture via une serrure (25) en réponse à un court-circuit ; un écran (27) de coupure d'arc entraîné par le déclencheur (19) en réponse à un court-circuit ; un organe manuel de commande (32) relié au bras porte-contact (14). L'écran (27) est actionné suite à une ouverture par commande manuelle au moyen d'un organe d'entraînement (39) assujetti à l'organe manuel de commande (32).
