Needle-thread cut-off device for an embroidering, quilting or sewing machine with rotary gripper (3), bobbin housing and bobbin, a hooked knife (8) movable into the path of the needle thread and a counterknife (11) being provided, only the upper thread being cut off by means of this device, the hooked knife being movable with its catch hook (10) located at the free end into a recess between the rotary gripper and bobbin housing, and the counterknife (11) being arranged at a distance from the rotary gripper in the region of movement of the catch hook. <IMAGE>

Vorrichtung zum Abschneiden des Nadelfadens einer Stick-, Stepp- oder Nähmaschine mit Umlaufgreifer (3), Spulengehäuse und Spule, wobei ein in die Bahn des Nadelfadens bewegbares Hakenmesser (8) und ein Gegenmesser (11) vorgesehen sind, mit der lediglich der Oberfaden abgeschnitten wird, das Hakenmesser mit seinem am freien Ende angeordneten Fanghaken (10) in eine Vertiefung zwischen Umlaufgreifer und Spulengehäuse bewegbar ist und das Gegenmesser (11) mit Abstand vom Umlaufgreifer im Bewegungsbereich des Fanghakens angeordnet ist.
