This press roll is of the type comprising holes arranged at the peripheral surface of the roll and intended to suck in the water, or the like, present in the paper pulp. The diameter of these holes (12) is larger than their depth. In cross-section, the holes (12) preferably have a profile designed so as to exert a suction cup action. <IMAGE>

Ce cylindre de presse est du type comportant des trous ménagés à la surface périphérique de celui-ci et destinés à aspirer l'eau ou similaire contenue dans la pâte à papier. Le diamètre de ces trous (12) est supérieur à leur profondeur. De préférence, les trous (12) ont, en section transversale, un profil étudié de façon à exercer un effet de ventouse.
