[origin: WO8807411A1] A ball mill comprises a rotatably mounted casing (1) with lined internal surface and lined end-face bottoms (2, 3), provided with inlet (4) and outlet (5) openings and containing inside it at least one perforated partition (6) oriented at an angle ($g(a)) to its longitudinal axis and dividing the casing (1) into coarse-grinding and fine-grinding chambers (8, 9) filled with grinding bodies. The lined internal surface of the chambers (8, 9) is shaped as truncated cones facing with their larger bases the perforated partition (6) the angle ($g(a)) of inclination of the generatrices (12, 13) of which is substantially equal to the angle of natural slip of the grinding bodies contained in the corresponding chamber (8, 9), the volume of the coarse-grinding chamber (8) being smaller than that of the fine-grinding chamber (9).
