Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH01124669A] PURPOSE: To carry out uniform treatment of a textile web in longitudinal direction of the textile web by applying a treating liquid to a continuously traveling textile web in a first treating tank, squeezing off the web, successively introducing the web into a wedge type second treating tank, applying a treating liquid to the web, carrying the web through a bottom gap and partially dehydrating the web until a specific water content is obtained. CONSTITUTION: A textile web 1 is immersed through an immersing tank 2 into a treating liquid and squeezed off to a moisture content of 60-120% by a gap 5 between squeezing rollers 6 and 7 and successively introduced through a guide roller 8 into a wedge type second applicator 20. The second applicator 20 comprises an upright vat 9 mutually opposing on both sides of the web 1, extending across the width of the web 1 and joining these both ends outside the width of the web 1 and the web 1 is passed through the vat 9 and carried through a gap 19 at least either one of which comes into elastic contact with the web 1 in the bottom and partially dehydrated so that moisture content becomes 100-200% to enable uniform treatment of the web 1 in the longitudinal direction of the web 1.
