In the method for regulating the winding tension of a plurality of threads for the formation of a lap, in which the plurality of threads is fed to a driven winder via a pair of driven transport rollers and a dancing roller, the speed of the winder drive can be so adapted to the increasing diameter of the lap that the dancing roller is deflected from its static point of rest only to a minimum extent. For this, there is superposed on a rough adjustment of the speeds of the transport rollers and winder a fine adjustment derived from the dancing roller via a PID controller. <IMAGE>

Verfahren zum Steuern der Wickelspannung einer Fadenschar zum Bilden eines Wickels, bei dem die Fadenschar über ein angetriebenes Transportwalzenpaar (3) und eine Tänzerwalze (4) einem angetriebenen Wickler (5) zugeführt wird, kann die Drehzahl des Wicklerantriebs (9) so dem wachsenden Durchmesser des Wickels angepaßt werden, daß die Tänzerwalze nur minimal aus ihrem statischen Ruhepunkt ausgelenkt wird. Hierzu wird eine Grobabstimmung von Transportwalzen- und Wicklerdrehzahl durch eine von der Tänzerwalze über einen PID-Regler (31) ausgehende Feinabstimmung überlagert.
