The control device of the drive motor driving the cross-wound bobbin has a spooling-speed control program with a spooling-speed curve (46) falling with the spooling time. There are selectable starting speeds (V, VI, VII, VIII), from which the spooling speed (v) follows the further trend of the spooling-speed curve (46) as a function of time. The starting speed is dependent on the quantity of yarn which the cop to be rewound possesses and which is determined, for example, at a central cop feed point of the automatic spooling machine by measuring or weighing. <IMAGE>

Die Steuervorrichtung des die Kreuzspule antreibenden Antriebsmotors besitzt ein Spulgeschwindigkeits-Steuerprogramm mit einer mit der Spulzeit fallenden Spulgeschwindigkeitskurve (46). Es sind Startgeschwindigkeiten (V, VI, VII, VIII) auswählbar, von denen aus die Spulgeschwindigkeit (v) zeitabhängig dem weiteren Verlauf der Spulgeschwindigkeitskurve (46) folgt. Die Startgeschwindigkeit ist von der Garnmenge abhängig, die der umzuspulenden Kops aufweist und die beispielsweise an zentraler Kopszufuhrstelle des Spulautomaten durch Messen oder Wägen festgestellt wird.
