[origin: JPH01111023A] PURPOSE: To obtain the subject facility capable of reducing a change in a fiber treating process by setting a set value of the ratio of an operative time to inoperative time of a standard stage corresponding to a signal showing the total production of one stage at the downstream side of a discontinuously operating stage. CONSTITUTION: A fiber to be treated is successively transported from stage to stage, at least one stage is subjected to on/off action, a stage (e.g. each card K) at the downstream side is continuously operated to successively produce a fixed product (e.g. sliver). The set value of the ratio of operative time to inoperative time of a standard stage is changed corresponding to change in production of a following stage carrying out a continuous production in a normal operation.
