[origin: EP0311850A2] Compound profile, in particular for windows, doors and facades, in which two metal profiles are connected at a distance from one another by means of at least one insulating profile which engages in grooves between limbs of the metal profiles, the insulating profile having at least one bicurve profile in the region intended for insertion in grooves of the metal profiles, which bicurve profile is formed by different material thicknesses and runs in the longitudinal direction, and at least one grooved limb of the metal profile itself being deformed into a bicurve profile following the said bicurve profile upon fixing of the insulating profile by applying pressure, a positive connection in the longitudinal and transverse direction of the compound profile being effected in the process. <IMAGE>
