Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0312442A1] The invention relates to a motor-vehicle headlamp of the type comprising a light filament (102), a reflector (200) and a closing glass. <??>According to the invention, the reflector comprises a bottom part (210) of the parabolic type and edge parts (222, 224) in the form of parabolic cylinders focused on the filament, and there are also deflection means, for example toric lenses (302, 304) which return the inclined light rays received horizontally from the filament towards the edge parts. <??>A greater proportion of the light flux is thus recovered, thereby making it possible to produce low-profile and high-efficiency headlamps. <IMAGE>
