[origin: WO8805652A1] Novel, chemically curable and visible light curable hybrid composites, formulated from inorganic glass fillers and a resin component comprising a binder and a diluent. The majority of the filler component comprises an ion-leachable fluoroaluminosilicate glass which confers hardness strength, correct colour and translucency for shading, a cariostatic effect through the release of fluoride ions, and possible enhancement of bonding strength to enamel and cements.

Nouveaux composites hybrides polymérisables par un procédé chimique et à la lumière visible dont la formule comporte des matières inorganiques vitreuses de remplissage et une résine composée d'un liant et d'un diluant. La matière de remplissage est composée en majeure partie d'une matière vitreuse à base de fluorosilicate alumineux lessivable par les ions qui donne dureté et solidité, une couleur naturelle et un aspect translucide pour permettre un rapprochement avec la couleur naturelle des dents, qui produit un effet cariostatique grâce à la libération d'ions fluor et, éventuellement, confère une cohésion accrue à l'émail et aux ciments.
