[origin: JPH01107931A] PURPOSE: To intermittently straighten a wire with trouble-free working and to obtain good wire quality by decelerating the rotation of a straightening rotor synchronously with a wire feed and accelerating the same after working again. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is provided with the straightening rotor 4 sending the wire having one group of straightening blocks 5, 6, 7 and a transporting means 2. The dimension of the straightening rotor 4 is so set as to be decelerated and accelerated by this transporting means 2 at the same time as for the wire 1. The wire 1 is decelerated to the decreased feed speed and the straightening rotor 4 is synchronously decelerated, simultaneously with which a cutter 10 moves together synchronously with the wire 1 at the time of the working. The wire 1 and the straightening rotor 4 are accelerated again after the cutting and the cutter 10 returns to a start position for the purpose of ensuing cutting.
