Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0313859A2] A device for winding or unwinding web-like or tape-like materials (35) such as paper, films, textiles or the like is proposed, winding shafts (23) being provided which can be motor driven, are mounted rotatably, at least on one side, in sliding bearings (18) and can be moved and positioned individually along a self-contained guide path. A rotationally drivable guide drum (14), on which the sliding bearings (18) are guided in a freely displaceable manner, forms the guide path. Fastening devices which can be actuated independently of one another are used for fixing the sliding bearings (18) to the guide drum (14). For fixing the axle of rotation of the winding shaft to the machine, which shaft is in each case moved to a determinable winding position of the guide path, use is made of a holding device (33) which acts in accordance with the corresponding actuation. In this manner, the winding shafts can be moved independently of one another along the guide path, so that an automatic change of winding shaft is possible with short, free web lengths, without stopping the flow of material. <IMAGE>
