[origin: EP0313866A2] The method is used for fastening an element to the upper side of a ski by means of at least one projection which is provided on the underside of the element and can be brought into engagement with at least one recess formed on/in the upper side of the ski. The length of the (each) projection (14-64) and the depth of the (each) recess (1a) are greater than the thickness of the upper wall of the body (1c) of the ski (1), each recess being formed by a borehole (1a) in the ski (1), which borehole is machined to extend into the core (1d) of the ski (1). In this case, the (each) projection (14-64) is inserted by means of at least one catch surface (14f-64f) with a press fit into the core (1d) of the associated borehole (1a). The invention also relates to an element which is suitable for applying the method. <IMAGE>
