Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0313897A2] A receiving and transporting device (1) for workpieces which are to be treated with heat in an industrial furnace or by means of a bath and pass through the industrial furnace or the bath together with the receiving and transporting device (1), contains a multi-digit temperature-resistant identification device (6) on one side. This identification device (6) exhibits one reflection device (11, 12, 18) at least for each digit position for energy radiated by a transmitter. The reflection device of each numerical digit is aligned in such a manner that, when it passes the transmitter, it reflects the energy of the transmitter to a receiver or to a point remote from the receiver, depending on the value of the binary digit. <IMAGE>
