The pill divider has two arms (1, 2) which can be pivoted about an axis, a bearing surface for the placement of the pill and an apparatus (7) for the positioning thereof being arranged on the first arm (1), while arranged on the second arm (2) is a blade (4) which, when the pill divider is closed, is situated closely above the bearing surface and, together with the arms (1, 2) and the apparatus (7) for positioning in the vicinity of the axis forms two mutually separated chambers. A device (8) is provided for removing only one piece of the divided pill, this device being designed as an aperture in the second arm (2) above one of the chambers. A storage container at the rearward end of the pill divider can be charged through an aperture in the partition to the other chamber. <IMAGE>

Der Pillenteiler weist zwei um eine Achse (3) schwenkbare Arme (1,2) auf, wobei am ersten Arm (1) eine Trägerfläche (6) zum Lagern sowie eine Vorrichtung (7) zum Positionieren der Pille angeordnet sind, während am zweiten Arm (2) eine Klinge (4) angeordnet ist, die sich bei geschlossenem Pillenteiler dicht über der Trägerfläche (6) befindet und zusammen mit den Armen (1,2) und der Vorrichtung (7) zum Positionieren in der Nähe der Achse (3) zwei voneinander getrennte Kammern bildet. Es ist eine Einrichtung (8) zum Entnehmen nur eines Stücks der zerteilten Pille vorgesehen, die als Öffnung im zweiten Arm (2) über einer der Kammern gestaltet ist. Ein Vorratsbehälter (5) am rückwärtigen Ende des Pillenteilers kann durch eine Öffnung (13) in der Trennwand (11) zur anderen Kammer beschickt werden.
